Siwandu (previously known as Selous Safari Camp) is set in an open palm forest on the shores of Lake Nzerakera, a huge lake which adjoins the Rufiji River. The camp is divided into north and south camps and blends in perfectly with its natural surroundings .
There are 6 tents in the north camp and 7 tents in the south camp, all set along the lake shore on timber platforms. Each tent is spacious and luxuriously appointed and has a king size bed, an en suite bathroom with hot shower, and a veranda overlooking the lake.
Each part of the camp has its own swimming pool, comfortable lounge, well stocked bar, dining area and kitchen where chefs produce the finest cuisine.
Activities available at the camp include boat safaris, game viewing, bush walking safaris, fly camping, fishing.
The main attraction of most safaris is the wildlife - find out what to expect here.
Boat cruises offer a different perspective on the bush, allowing you to get much closer to much of the wild life.
The only way to get truly acquainted with the African bush is to see it on foot. Walking safaris offer a unique insight into an amazing habitat.
Serious game fishing in Tanzania is restricted to off-shore, but inland there are still Tiger Fish, Catfish and Bream to be caught.
Fly camping, combined with a walking safari, gives you the opportunity to get up close with the African bush - the ultimate safari experience.
