Lake Manze Tented Camp is a luxury tented camp set in open woodland near to the edge of Lake Manze in the heart of the Selous Game Reserve.
Each of its 12 tents has twin or double beds and their own en-suite facilities which are open to the stars. Each tent also has a large veranda on which to sit, relax and enjoy the view. There is no electricity in Lake Manze Tented Camp and lighting is by candles and kerosene lamps, which give it an intimate romantic feel and ensures a ‘back to nature’ experience.
There is a large airy high roofed bar/lounge/dining area where people can meet up in the evening and exchange stories of their days’ game viewing. The evening meal is usually served outside under the pristine night sky.
Boat trips on Lake Manze are a must to get the best view of the spectacular African sunsets and to see the varied bird life on and around Lake Manze. Half and full day game drives are also on offer in open sided 4x4 safari vehicles and can be tailor-made to guests' needs, as well as guided walks in the vicinity of the camp.

Excellently situated on the shores of Lake Manze, the camp also benefits from a remoteness that guarantees the true bush experience. To add to this, camp manager Richard Jones is probably one of the most knowledgeable guides in Tanzania.
We Remember:
Rafiki, the camp elephant, who wanders around the camp several times a day to the delight of most guests, and the patient attendance of the Maasai scouts who handle camp security.

We stayed in this wonderful tented camp for 3 days over Christmas. We were a large party of 12 people, including a few children and I have to say this was a experience of a lifetime. I would highly recommend this place to anyone who wants a true safari experience!!
The entire experience was absolutely stupendous. Although simple, the camp is quite comfortable and the staff are professional, well informed and clearly dedicated to creating an environment that is centered around the guest. I simply cannot say enough about this place and the effect that it had on me. I can't wait to return.
