Located in the centre of the Oyster Bay area of Dar es Salaam, Oyster Bay Hotel is an ocean facing contemporary African styled hotel with a clean crisp design. Despite its modern appearance it has an intimate private house atmosphere. There is a balanced mixture of old and new in the hotel with many interesting pieces of art. This is echoed outside where metal sculptures are dotted throughout the gardens.
There are 8 spacious rooms with king size or twin beds, air conditioning and plasma TV. All have en-suite facilities with free standing bath, walk in showers, wash hand basins and a toilet. All rooms have an Indian Ocean view and balcony.
The lounge area is light and airy with French doors leading to the expansive peaceful gardens. There are internet facilities and a swimming pool. Meals are served on the veranda, in the dining room or on the pool deck. There is a swimming pool and the pool deck has reclining chairs for relaxation. There are also internet facilities.

The hotel unashamedly aims at the overnight market, but at the same time aims to make such a stay a most memorable experience, with everything laid on to make your stay as comfortable - indeed pampered - as possible. Of course this isn't cheap, but worth every penny!
It is also possible to book in here on a day rate basis ($200 per person), if you have a long wait for a transfer out, which does not include overnight.
