Located on the edge of Ngorongoro Crater and near to Olduvai Gorge, Ngorongoro Serena Safari Lodge has been thoughtfully designed to blend in with the nearby Olduvai Gorge – known as the ‘Cradle of Mankind’.

The dining room has a wall of windows looking down to the crater below. Buffet style breakfast and lunch are served here as well as a table d’hote dinner menu. All meals use locally sourced produce where possible.

An especial benefit of staying here is that game drives are undertaken in custom-built open-sided safari vehicles - rather than closed vans with windows - which is a huge advantage.
A further feature of the lodge is its provision of breakfasts, lunches, dinners or just cocktails, in the bush, using a variety of dedicated sites.
They can also arrange for you to take a day trip to the Oduvai Gorge - 'The Cradle of Mankind' - site of one of the most important Palaeolithic finds in recent history.
Children and honeymoons are given special treatment here (not usually at the same time!), and it is even possible to host your wedding itself here.
